There's so much to love about these strat pickups. every position sounds fantastic and the bridge with the baseplate makes a meaningful difference on the bridge tone. There are so many great tones to be had in this strat now that these pickups are in there. As always, Dave is great to work with and his products are top notch!

For me this is another hit.
The P90's I bought before this set are so good, that the Gibson original pickups in my 57' reisue are in shame inside a spare parts box.
This new pickup set is like no other, because it was made to my specs. We took a Mason Deluxe as base to start, but added a modern touch. Ended up with the most versatile pickup set I had in more than 4 decades of playing.
In terms of customer service, all I can say is that David is the kind of person I wish to have as a neighbor.

I never do reviews. Been battling with my les paul neck pick up being too muddy/saturated/ lacking clarity etc.

stumbled on this one after a local shop told me about. Read that the average resistance being about 7ohm (approx). measured it when it arrived. 6.9ohms. Perfect for me. Threw it in. Super clear, sweet sweet tones. as clear of a neck pick up as I've had in a LP.

I've always had to keep my neck pickups so far down sitting deep into the body of the guitar to get close to a sound I was ok with. I set the pup initially in this (far away from the strings) position. I- for the first time ever was able to actually raise the pickup closer to the strings for more output.

Another way I always judge a neck pick up is middle position with the volume half or lower on the neck pup. It does that thing very well.

Overall- the most impressive neck humbucker I've been able to find. Of course, for my thing- it may not be your thing.

I finally was able to find a decent bridge pickup from a large company about a year ago. (can probably tell I'm very particular). Though- I might forced to also give the mason deluxe bridge pup a go after my experience with this neck.

Getting the right resistance on these pots made a huge difference in the way the pickups respond to changes in the knobs. There are tons of good tones to be had in these guitars and you miss out on a lot of them if you leave everything at 10 all the time. The harness unlocked all kinds of new and useful tones out of an already great guitar.

Love these pickups in my SG, makes the guitar really versatile. The neck and bridge pups are perfectly balanced and there are all kinds of great tones to be had with the knobs in the middle position. I got one of his wiring harnesses too and that makes the controls all very useful. Highly recommended!

Although I have only just received my pickups after a postal assessment delay (nothing to do with Brickhouse) and haven’t had a chance to install them, I wanted to give a review of my experience while I am able. My conversation with David on P90 pickups for my 2004 PRS SE Singlecut Soapbar led me to the purchase of the BH90S set. I didn’t need silent, but just a reduction in noise to make my P90 guitar more usable in different situations with a healthy dose of dynamic range. The pickups arrived beautifully packaged, with a heft and quality design that tells me they aren’t simply made, they are crafted. Add top notch customer service and expertise from David and you can see why I have a new favorite pickup company in Brickhouse Toneworks.

I just had a set of these installed in one of my Eastman SB59’s, and they sound fantastic! This makes my fifth guitar I have upgraded with Brickhouse pickups, and I am extremely happy with all of them. I highly recommend their products. David is also a great guy to deal with. After having a set of Brickhouse Toneworks Mason Deluxe PAF’s installed in my LP Studio and being thrilled with them, I knew I wanted to try some of their other offerings. I had their noiseless dog ear P90 installed in one of my guitars, a set of their noiseless soapbar P90’s in another, and now these 1960 PAF’s. All I can say is they are all outstanding. Everything you want in a pickup is there. Clarity, balance, articulation, dynamics, etc. I also have a set of noiseless humbucker sized P90’s waiting to be installed and have equally high hopes for them. David is awesome to work with and you can tell he has a passion for his craft. I can’t recommend Brickhouse Toneworks pickups more highly!

I love me a good Les Paul. Not so much many of the modern factory PAFs. I've been swapping pups in and out of my stable of LPs for years, never quite hearing or feeling what I want. Until now. I bought a set of the 60s PAFs and the wiring harness. Dynamic would be an understatement. To my ears the perfect blend of clarity, balance, ring and tone without any brittleness in the bridge or muddiness from the neck. When I play, I can feel it both in my hands as well as the body of the guitar. Outstanding in every way. And the craftsmanship is a thing of beauty.

I purchased this for a replacement volume knob for a 1974 Gibson ES-335 I was restoring. The price was good and the customer service was outstanding.

I purchased these pickups because I was looking for some Hi-Fi pickups that would be very expressive, clear, and true to my playing. I find these pickups to fit that bill. They really do have a huge dynamic range and are just very clear overall. I've been finding them exceptional for playing math rock and midwest emo which have a lot of tapping in playing and chime-y/sparkly tone that's characteristic of the genre. The bridge pickup with the copper plate is also a really cool take, and I'm thinking of adding a pickup config for neck + bridge for tele-like tones because of it. Overall, these pickups won't intrude on your playing and also won't add much to it either in terms of color, which is the biggest selling point of these pickups to me.
