I installed this pickup in my Les Paul Junior and it instantly became my favorite guitar. It sounds amazing. Matches the description perfectly. So punchy, great harmonics, cleans up great with the volume knob. Looking forward to trying other pickups from this company.
In my 50 plus years of playing I've never owned a guitar with P90's I've played a few guitars with them but never owned one. I decided to try the Brickhouse ones on a build and WOW are they awesome. I play a lot of different genres and these pickups cover everything from country and western to death metal. Dave was very helpful with my order as well. My application wasn't typical so I sent him the guitar body and he hooked me right up. I'm positive I will be using more Brickhouse pickups in the future.

I’ve purchased numerous sets of pickups since the brand was launched, both off the self and custom orders and am always blown away by the quality, both sound and build, attention to detail, and fantastic customer service. Brickhouse has become my first and usually only stop when I need pickups.
I just replaced the stock Gibson P90’s in my 2022 Les Paul Special with a set of these and they sound absolutely awesome! P90’s are my favorite pickups but they are also the noisiest. So years ago I started replacing them with noiseless ones. I’ve previously had the Fralin hum-cancelling and the Mojotone Quiet Coil and these Brickhouse Hum-Cancelling P90’s sound better in my opinion. They have the absolute perfect balance of fullness and bite that P90’s are known for. And the icing on the cake… no hum!
never had a 53 tele so cantcompare to an original but i will say they sound incredible. Bridge is twangy and handles any pedal for a bit of dirt, neck P/U is clear and full and the middle position is the classic funk rythm tone. Responded to my order within minutes and I had them in a couple days. Quality is. top notch across the board inscluding the wiring for the control plate. you cant go wrong
I replaced the original pickups in my 2026 PRS SE DGT with the BrickHouse 1960 P.A.F. set and I'm very pleased with the results. The original pickups sounded good but the neck pickup was a bit too dark and lacked some of the openness I was hoping for. I made a call to BrickHouse and David picked up right away. I explained what I was looking for in terms of a pickup that would react well to the volume control, and how I enjoyed the Morgan AC-20 amp in the Fractal world. After I answered a few more of David's questions, he confidently pointed me to the 1960 P.A.F. set with #4 Alnico magnets. So I decided to give them a try and I wasn't disappointed. They were packaged very nicely and included everything necessary for the swap. The end result is just what I'd hoped for. The new pickups provided a more open and 'airy' tone with a more articulate and defined sound especially on full chords. I hear more definition on each of the notes, yet when the signal is pushed to where the things begins to break up, it holds a smooth, creamy quality that I find very appealing for rock tones that ultimately lands somewhare between smooth and gritty. So lots of edge but with just the right amount of sizzle when pushed. And as mentioned, many of these tone characteristics can be morphed with the simple twist of the volume knob. As always, tone is very subjective, but I find BrickHouse 1960 P.A.F. setup very pleasing. I should note that I have a 2007 PRS Custom 22 Core model and I've used as an 'A-B' comparison between the PRS SE model with the BrickHouse pickups and although there is a slightly different character between the two, they are very similar.
Developed in collaboration with Revelator Guitars, the Vintage Recipe Tele pickups capture the essence of late-1950s-era specifications with thoughtful enhancements for today's player. The dual-magnet bridge design pairs Alnico 5 on the wound strings for tight, percussive attack with Alnico 2 on the unwound strings for clarity and warmth.

This guitar was a very special build by Mario Martin featuring our Brickhouse Toneworks 1963 Firebird pickup in the neck position, with our 1963 Strat in the middle, and a custom overwound 1953 Tele bridge pickup.
