1952 Soapbar P-90 Pickup

1952 was a pinnacle year for the P-90 when the very first Les Paul guitars came equipped with these fine tone machines. The specs back then were all over the map with varying number of turns and other inconsistencies making them sound different from one to the next. But they did have one thing in common. They shared a clearer and warmer sound compared to later P-90's, making them more versatile for the hands and amplifier to shape the tone, rather than the pickup overpowering or muddying up the sound.
