The 4-way Tele mod upgrades a standard Telecaster's 3-way switch to a 4-way switch, adding a new series wiring option for a hotter, fatter, humbucker-like tone. This mod enhances versatility by providing a higher-output sound in addition to the traditional parallel and single-pickup settings.
We don't cut corners. While many companies use standard 250k pots with a wide 20% tolerance—meaning they can perform as low as 200k—we insist on precision. We use custom 275k CTS pots with an incredibly tight 9% tolerance. But we don't stop there. We individually meter test every single pot, carefully selecting the highest readings for your volume and neck pickup, and the slightly lower readings for your tone and bridge pickup. This meticulous calibration ensures your guitar delivers maximum high-end sparkle and touch sensitivity, allowing every note to sing with clarity.
To complete the perfect circuit, we've designed our own Custom Brickhouse Oil-Filled Capacitors. These aren't off-the-shelf parts; they're specifically crafted to give you the most transparent and vintage tone possible.
