Warm, full P-90 tone with sparkling highs, rich midrange punch, and touch-sensitive grit—without the 60-cycle hum. The BH90S moves from fat, clear cleans to aggressive bite as you dig in, preserving the open feel and expressive dynamics of a great vintage soapbar.

Note:
The DCR reading is much higher than normal single coil P-90's due to the nature of their hum-canceling design. This is a case where DCR should not be considered as a measurement of output because these are equivalent in output to a vintage P-90 that ranged in DCR readings between 7-9k.
How does this differ from a traditional single-coil P-90?
It is designed to retain the warmth, bite, and touch response of a vintage P-90 while canceling the 60-cycle hum associated with traditional single-coil pickups.
Will it eliminate all noise from my rig?
It cancels pickup-generated 60-cycle single-coil hum. Noise from pedals, amplifiers, wiring, or grounding problems can still be present.
Will it fit my soapbar-equipped guitar?
Yes it will fit traditional P-90 soapbar routes with no modification. It's the same size and height of a vintage P-90. To be sure, check the dimensional drawing against your guitar’s cavity, mounting arrangement, and available depth before ordering.
Why is the resistance higher than a vintage P-90?
The higher reading comes from the hum-canceling design. Its output is comparable to a vintage P-90; resistance alone is not a reliable indicator of how much output a pickup has.
What pots and capacitor do you recommend?
We recommend 500k volume and tone pots with a .022µF tone capacitor.
Is it wax potted?
Yes. It is lightly potted.
What pickup height do you recommend, and how do I measure it?
Start with 2/32″ (1/16″) on the treble side and 3/32″ on the bass side.
Hold the high E string against the last fret nearest the guitar body, then measure from the top of the pole piece to the bottom of the string. Repeat with the low E string on the bass side. Use the pickup’s height-adjustment screws to set each side.
These measurements are starting points and will give you excellent results. From here you can make small adjustments by ear to find the tone and response you prefer, and balance the volume between the neck and bridge pickups.
For over 70 years, guitarists have loved the P-90 sound but hated the hum. That relentless 60-cycle buzz has forced countless players to compromise their tone or suffer through the noise. But what if you could have the authentic warmth, grit, and dynamics of a vintage P-90 without a single trace of hum? The Brickhouse BH90S makes that dream a reality.
The BH90S delivers everything that makes P-90 pickups legendary: that warm, thick midrange that makes notes bloom and sustain with authority, the sparkling top end with just the right amount of grit, and the incredible dynamics that respond to every nuance of your playing. Roll back the volume and you get those fat, clean jazz tones that made the P-90 famous. Dig in hard and you unleash the aggressive bite and sustain that defined rock and roll. All without a whisper of hum.
Unlike other "noiseless" pickups that sacrifice tone for quiet operation, the BH90S uses an innovative design that preserves every ounce of vintage P-90 character while completely eliminating noise. Whether you're recording in the studio where every bit of hum shows up on tape, or playing live where stage noise can ruin your sound, the BH90S gives you the freedom to chase pure P-90 tone in any environment.
