Brickhouse Toneworks pickup designer David Shepherd's passion for Stratocaster pickups ignited a lifelong pursuit of tonal excellence, culminating in the Spellbound Strat Pickup. Combining decades of expertise, this pickup delivers a remarkably open and dynamic sound profile—bold and expansive, with no compression. It captures every nuance with piano-like clarity and warmth, enriching both lows and highs with exceptional fidelity without being harsh. These pickups don't merely respond; they resonate with uncompromising honesty, faithfully translating your playing into pure tone. For those seeking refined tonal control and a versatile palette, the Spellbound Strat offers unmatched clarity and expressive freedom.
For those seeking total control over tone shaping through their amp and effects, these pickups stand unrivaled. The bridge pickup is particularly exceptional: slightly overwound and equipped with a Telecaster-style steel baseplate to enhance mids, lows, and output. This design grants it remarkable versatility, effortlessly spanning from rich, clean Telecaster tones to intense, sustaining P-90-inspired sounds perfect for blues and rock.

Details That Matter:
The middle pickups are RWRP (Reverse Wound Reverse Polarity) so that you can achieve hum-canceling in positions 2 and 4 of a 5-way switch. This is a modern advantage that comes standard with all of our single coils. Also, unlike vintage strat pickups, the magnet stagger is refined and calibrated to offer a more perfect balance in output from one string to the next.
Notes About Magnet Stagger:
The polepiece/magnets are fixed in height and cannot be adjusted. Choose Right Handed for a right handed magnet stagger and choose Left Handed for a left handed magnet stagger. Each magnet is set to a specific height in order to respond evenly in output from one string to the next when using standard electric guitar strings with a plain unwound 3rd string.
