Larry Olson

Larry Olson is a touring guitarist and guitar teacher out of Waukesha, Wisconsin. His passion for guitar began when he was 14, after watching a video of Eddie Van Halen playing Eruption at the US Festival. Seeing him crash into amps and jump around that stage truly inspired Larry to become a guitarist. What makes Larry such a brilliant guitar player is his ability to adapt to different styles and his determination to constantly refine his playing technique.
As a touring musician, Larry has been able to play lead and rhythm guitar for a variety of artists. These include rising country artist Casey Muessigmann from season 3 of “The Voice” and movie star turned music star Kurt Deimer. Through these opportunities, he has had the privilege to open up for many of music’s big names including Sebastian Bach, Styx, Scotty McCreery, John Michael Montgomery and more. While touring across both the US and Canada, Larry has gained lots of experience playing an array of venues from festivals to theaters and even the critically acclaimed Whiskey a Go Go; but no matter the venue type, Larry always brings a high level of energy to the stage.
Larry just released his first instrumental single titled “Trail of Tears” back in October of 2024. Fans have described the piece as a “deeply moving instrumental that tells a story.” The song is composed of a simple melody that builds into a powerful chorus which creates a very moving song.
When he is not on the road, Larry is focusing on spreading his knowledge to other up and coming musicians by being a teacher at the White House of Music in the Milwaukee area. Whether it’s playing out of a book or helping a student learn their favorite song, Larry is able to personalize his guitar lessons so his pupils get the most out of their playing.
